I’m a big fan of Alexandrov Ensemble, but the first time I heard your voice on the video from 1965 “Song of the Volga boatmen” I was stunned and I searched the net and Youtube for more songs with your beautiful voice.
Not very often does a voice touch my soul as much as your voice, Kharitonov.

I was born in 1968 and my father had an album of the red army choir , alexandrov ensamble .
and i was captivated by the music , still to this day, and very much by the voice of mr Kharitonov , i can easily say that listening to this music when i was a young boy has had a great influence in who i have become , openminded , very much interested in music and culture.
it is a great honour for me to know that the person that sang these songs on the record of my father , would even recieve my thanks .
